City Council adopts Music Industry Task Force recommendations

On January 19th, 2023 Philadelphia’s City Council unanimously voted to adopt the Music Industry Task Force’s (MITF) recommendations. This seemingly small step, but important moment was the culmination of 5+ years of work but the many volunteers who helped form the MITF. Originally intended to present for vote in March 2020, their hearing was scheduled for the day the city shut down due to the pandemic. This was a long time coming!
