Sigma Sound Studios and the Life of Joe Tarsia (Podcast)

"The Sound of Sigma Sound Studios and Life of Joe Tarsia" (working title) is about Philadelphia's Sigma Sound Studios and its founder/chief recording engineer Joe Tarsia. We are exploring the many iconic recordings made within the walls of Sigma dating back to 1968 with Gamble & Huff, the 70s “Disco Inferno” period, through the 80s NYC studio opening, and the 90s when Sigma became the creative hub of Philly’s neo-soul scene (The Roots, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott). Our goal is both to bring attention to Philadelphia's cultural importance and introduce the many timeless hits and artists who worked at Sigma to a new generation.

In partnership with Rowhome Productions, Theo and Max are producing the series along with host and legendary Philly DJ/Music Producer, Cosmo Baker.
